Super cop and Cool officer (A.P Elections special)

I would like to mention vote of thanks for to the two caliber officers who proved their efficiency and manageability and made this elections more peaceful and successful without any fear and favour in Andhra Pradesh state. One is Super cop and another one is Cool officer.



IPS officer A K Mohanty who took the charge as DGP, as a replacement of S S P Yadav, who was transferred by the EC for reportedly praising Chief Minister Y S Rajsekhara Reddy during an official tour, thus violating the poll code.

Because of Mr. Mohanty and his team efforts a large amount of black money was caught in Police raids which is supposed to be distributed to the public to buy the votes and there is very less violence during the election time.







Chief Electoral Officer I.V. Subba Rao, who acted coolly and professionally organised the elections elegantly.



I feel media should give more publicity for these two.

Do We need Instant justice?

Definitely I say yes because our courts performance is not up to the mark and due to the loop holes in our judicial system most of the cases are taking very long time to complete. Some cases will take years together to complete.

If you attack the Indian parliament or if you are involved in 26/11 Mumbai terror attack then you will find yourself safely in a central jail at least for 4-5 years . Isn't it!.

I like Dr.Kiran Bedi's (किरण बेदी ) instant justice through the TV media (STAR Plus’s serial) “Aap Ki Kachehri”. It's really a good program to watch, it will help us to know many things, especially to know the Law and to utilise the Law. If we watch this program regularly our SoQ (Social Quotient) will increase drastically.

India’s first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi will venture into television with a role that fits her like a glove. She will play a facilitator in STAR Plus’s new serial “Aap Ki Kachehri” delivering instant justice in a swift and decisive court of alternate dispute redressal.

“My belief and thirst for instant justice drove me to join the Indian Police Force,” she said. “I have no patience,” added Bedi, who opted for voluntary retirement last year.

Known for 35 years of welfare policing, Bedi announced her television series Tuesday and said it would act as continuity to her service.

The programme serves as an alternate dispute redressal forum for people who would want to solve their issues amicably and voluntarily.

“It is now my turn to reciprocate the love and trust the masses have placed in me. The viewers can see the transition from khaki to black,” she said here at the press meet.

Though Bedi took voluntary retirement two years before her tenure, she is still connected to her work.

“My Thursdays are for public. My garden is full of people who come to me for help and suggestions,” she said.

“I always wanted to chase my dream of being associated with the Bar Council. I have now realised that dream, after my retirement,” she added.

Asked about her role model, Bedi promptly said: “I do not stick to one person. I admire different qualities in different people. But if I have to choose one person, then it has to be my mother.”

She also highlighted the fact that she has turned injustice to justice for herself. “I took myself out of the system when I realised that now I could be subjugated.”

Bedi, who has recently been conferred the prestigious Annemarie-Madison Award, says she has no plans of joining politics in the near future.

“I have an inclination towards public life,” she said.
